One semester down, three more to go...

So tomorrow is our final exam in DENH 301. I can't believe that we are approaching the finish line for the semester. I have learned so much information that I honestly have a hard time taking this all in as reality. To sum up how I feel, I believe incredible is the word I would choose. As far as this class goes, obviously clinic has been my favorite, as well as most challenging aspect. I do feel that clinic really helps tie up loose ends in lecture. Right now I am feeling pretty tired and am glad to see that winter break is basically here now. However, I can't wait to come back on January 4th, 2010! It will be interesting having to learn the new Axium program in clinic and also to see how much of this new information I retain. I feel pretty confident that many of the things which I've learned in this class are basically engraved in my brain now and I could probably recite it all in my sleep. So hopefully the exam tomorrow goes well and it will give a great ending to an amazing semester in this class.

  1. I can't believe we're almost there! We're almost a quarter done already! It still feels like couple weeks ago when all of us were dressed in our professional clothes looking forward to making friends and starting classes with our red orientation folders. Who knew we would learn so much in just a semester? I definately did not expect to treat actual "real" patients until atleast our senior year. Clinic definately helps us put things we learned as one unit. During the semester, I felt that all the classes were so scattered and different, but in clinic, it was surprising to see how much we actually knew and why each thing happened. I am looking forward to winter break as much as I am looking forward to classes during spring semester. I feel like our dental hygiene class came together as one "family" and I found out how much I missed every one of our classmates during thanksgiving break. I am happy to actually go home and spend time with my family but I will sadly miss all of our classmates!

  2. It does seem like just yesterday that we were all in orientation! It has been tough finding time to juggle everything and time has flown by so quick. I am relieved that we only have three semesters left! It feels really good to know that we are accomplishing something, especially when it is not easy! In the end alot of the material did overlap from class to class so I think that may have helped. Clinic did tie everything together for me as well! Hope that everyone did well on their finals and see you all next semester!
